might as well be a horror film honestly. unbelievably haunting soundtrack from ryuichi sakamoto and by far the most devastating film I’ve ever seen, rivaling I Saw the Devil easily. ken watanabe is eloquent and poignant as per usual and everyone else does such a beautiful job as well. melodrama par excellence, but to a horrifying degree. not for the faint of heart by all means.
