If November was a movie. I was filling out a bunch of job applications and I needed something in the background, and this is the perfect film for the job. An absolute classic that’s teetering on 5 stars. 95/100

This is such a weird love story I can’t believe he is 15 and she’s 25, this can’t get any worse…oh she’s 28 awesome. Licorice Pizza is one of the rom-coms of all time. I have to start off by saying I absolutely loved Cooper Hoffman’s performance, he is absolutely carrying on his fathers legacy in Hollywood he was incredible in this film, his comedic timing is on point and just seems like such a likeable guy, amazing work from him. Alana Haim was very good as-well, the acting in this film is top notch. I can see the vision by PTA here, how the age gap kind of makes sense with Gary wanting to be an adult and Alana wanting to be a kid, but it’s just so off putting whenever you think about it, but he does a good job masking that for the most part. We barely see Gary in school, he’s never around his parents, always out and about working on something, and Alana didn’t really look that old so it was hard to tell, but it’s still a very odd relationship that I understand people hating. The only part of this film I truly hated was that one older guy doing an asian accent to his partners, that bit was just so unfunny and weird, they really could’ve gone without that part. Overall, this was a very different film, it didn’t have that PTA touch and didn’t feel like one of his films, but it was still pretty enjoyable and fun. 74/100

The one time my headphones disconnected during this watch Al Pacino was yelling about that girls ass, never felt sm second hand embarrassment ever. Heat is a crime thriller for the ages, such a fun and wild ride. Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro were at their absolute best, this is by far my favorite performance from DeNiro, he was so cool calm and collected during every single mission in the film. Gone right or wrong, he had the entire situation under his complete control, such an impressive performance. The action sequences were some of the best I’ve ever seen, the whole realism of the most ridiculous shootout scenarios made this film, such amazing vision from Michael Mann, who has master the crime thriller. Overall, I enjoyed the film a lot, but it felt fairly basic if I’m being honest, it just seemed like an above average heist movie, but I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt since I watched this during state testing so I’m very excited to revisit Heat in a proper film going experience. 85/100
