Inside Out 2
One thing that I absolutely love about this movie is how it centers Riley so much more than (I remember) the first movie doing so. Felt like it was actually showing children that who they are matters and that they're experiences and emotions matter. A lot of media these days seems to alienate children and portray them as "lesser" than adults are, and this film didn't do that.
Another thing that I liked about this film was that, yes, there were cringy moments but in the end, those moments didn't matter. While we are in embarrassing or anxious moments, it can feel like they last forever or that everyone will notice and remember. I think it's really good to tell children that those moments do not make us who we are and that no one remembers them even though we may.
The jokes were also fantastic. "Everyone look at embarrassment!" was fucking golden.
I think this may be one of, if not the best, children's movie of all time.
