Head-On
I did a whole final project about this movie for a uni course and even then, I didn't have enough words to describe how good this is. The best word for it is probably "raw", it's portrayal of humans: raw, it's portrayal of love: raw, it's portrayal of inner turmoils: raw.
The ebbs & flows of the plot are also quite unique, even though it follows a linear timeline, it picks up & slows down seemingly at random, which makes it seem even more real to me. The soundtrack was also pretty cool (wide range from Depeche Mode to traditional Turkish music). The use of traditional music was also really purposefully done, I won't go into it because no one cares (I assume), but the contrast of new & old, modern & traditional cultures was propelled mostly by the use of music.
did a pretty good episode on my radio show abt this & buffalo '66 so heres the playlist for that (songs that emote how this movie looks&feels): https://open.spotify.com/playlist/602QTzFFjiR4l6lm1qdjC0?si=8tnmhwpTSiWARuwnnhaaMA&utm_source=copy-link
