rewatching this on international women’s day and i really loveee being a woman. feminism is women and men are equal, gender equality, not women better than men or men better than women.
barbieland starts as a feminist utopia world but then shifts into "kendom" really highlights the imbalance of power in the real world. barbie never treated the kens badly, barbie just ignored them (the kens), and barbie just having fun with the girls, other barbie. while when kendom happens, they made barbie and the others servants. it proves that men doesnt respect women at all.
and gloria speech about women so amazing, i still AND ALWAYS LOVE THAT SPEECH. women still fight for the women’s rights until now and yeah thats a real world. so for the all the women out there, happy international women’s day
