Warrior
A movie about men filled with high testosterone beating each other up for money somehow manages to include a story of man losing his job and eventual home resulting in a dispute with his family.
Warrior brilliantly displays a conflicted past of two brothers and their father. To have two brothers who are completely different in nearly every way seem so alike at the same time is flawless. The Dynamic between Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton is conveyed phenomenally. Their performance was some of the best I’ve seen of them.
I cannot forgot the stellar executions from the great Nick Nolte. He might not have had long screen time but that does not take away the fact that his performance was raw and real. So invested in both Tom hardy and Joel Edgerton that in the end I didn’t know who I wanted to win. Always shed a tear when Tommy taps out at the end, the music and joel Edgerton line "I’m sorry Tommy, it’s okay Tommy" makes it so much more emotional a, such a special scene.
Overall a simple concept turned into a fantastic rendition of forgiveness, connection and triumph 5/5.
