“Hello Ernie? Putangina mo.” why is it so normalized to teach girls that they have less choices, less chances, and less life to live? this film was absolutely brilliant. it tackles many taboo topics so gracefully that by the end i was completely speechless. you get four completely fleshed out characters, all with their own goals, personalities, and problems… something a lot of films fail to do with female characters recently. i just couldnt help but fall in love with all four of them… it felt like i was apart of their friend group, integrated into their lives. what i love even more about this film is how there are no secrets! what you see is what you get and what happens happens. of course there is suspense — fear of what may happen next, but that is what makes life. the unpredictability of it. natawa ako, umiyak ako, napangiwi ako... naramdaman ko ang lahat, kasama ni joey, kathy, maritess, at si sylvia.
