Prisoners
Holy. Shit.
Twitter was onto something. Sir Roger, pls call Matt Reaves rn. He has a detective film to make, and he would greatly appreciate your talents.
I’ll need to gather my thoughts properly for a review, but at a surface level this was an incredibly tense and eerie film. Also more methodical than I remember it being. I feel like when I first watched this, I felt the actual investigation part of the story fell a little flat, and that took me out of the mood a bit. But it was much better this time around, or at least it felt better this time. Maybe because I knew the beats already and that let me lean into some other things. I’ll have to think about this some more. Regardless, this just felt like everyone was operating on another level here. Incredible rewatch. An incredible detective thriller.
