This might be the first ever movie to tear u down just so they can heal u I mean words cannot put into words how good the acting is in this movie. Best acting performances from a whole cast and it isn’t even close. The ending dialogue between Ronald and Emily is just unreal. They are both the clear standouts for me. That is 2 of the best actors just putting on an unbelievable performance. I genuinely cannot believe taylor Russell or sterling k brown don’t have any bigger roles they deserve everything. Everytime I see them it’s peak. That scene brings me to tears when Seigried plays after. It’s just so beautiful. Ronald realizes his mistakes and is doing everything he can to make things right with Emily so he doesn’t make those same mistakes he made with Tyler. And he’s going to church alone in that ending scene this mean sum to me  He’s not a monster…he’s not evil, he’s just a human being The second half is just a breathe of fresh air. I love when movies depict the affect addiction (beautiful boy) and people’s poor choices have on those around them, given I’ve seen it around me throughout my life. Every character gets their arc in this. It’s a beautiful cycle. I felt for every single character in this. Emily helps Ronald heal his wounds and feel less guilt to help restore what was lost in his marriage, but Ronald helps Emily heal her wounds and get rid of that hate  inside of her and make her lose her guilt, realizing they can’t change the past and they can only live in the present and strive to do better than their past mistakes. And during this she’s able to heal her wounds by helping Luke heal his wounds his dad left him.  Best soundtrack of all time too next to the spider verses. A movie with 3 frank ocean songs should automatically be one of my favorites based off that alone. LVL by asap. true love waits by Radiohead over the ending come on man This movie also drops the hardest and loudest f u I’ve heard before  This was even better than i remembered it being the first time watching it years ago
