Babylon

I really enjoyed this movie. I just thought the first 2 hours of the movie were significantly stronger than the last hour. This is very much different from the rest of Damien Chazelle’s films, but you can still see his flair in the colors, camera work, music, and sharp editing. I think it could have really benefited from a reduced run time, I thought within that last hour with Tobey Maguire character wasn’t needed at all. I felt the movie would have been perfect if they would have stopped it around the 2 hr mark where both Nellie and Manny both made it and were doing what they loved and working together, I thought it was full circle for both characters achieving their goals. And spend an extra 15 to 20 minutes tying up the lose ends of the movie, like u could still have Brad pitts character kill himself, because I thought that made a lot of sense after he was being phased out of Hollywood.
