Challengers

First film of the year! One of my favourite films in recent times. I knew after my first watch in the cinemas, I wanted to watch this again. I've been thinking about this film for the past year. This is the film of my dreams. A sports drama. Through the lens of a visionary filmmaker. Starring actors who I can also imagine being in that sport and type of setting. This film captures passion and lust. I love the drive and thrill. The drama and comedy. This film captures what it's like to be a non white girl in these PWI/spaces. It's only cool when somebody like Zendaya calls out a "racist btch." The Applebees scene is my favourite scene. I love Blood Orange. I always knew this would be the project that would be a turning point in Zendaya's career by being in a more cinematic film in a leading role like this one. #TeamArt (turns out it's also Mike Faist's birthday today🥳❤️)
