Monster
A story about perspective, lies, rumors, and society. About how growing up changes the way you see the world, and makes you search for answers, even when there might not be one. Sometimes, there's nobody to blame. Sometimes, there is no monster.
100% deserved a rewatch.
On a first watch, it’s confusing up until the end brings everything together. But on a second watch, you realize the truth was always there, hidden in the first two perspectives. The way the film moves from fire to water is so deliberate and impactful.
You experience the same story three times, and in the end, you decide what really happens.
Stunning cinematography. Amazing score. And on rewatch, the trombone scene is my absolute favorite moment.
