There is. So much. I love. About this movie.  I never really related to the whole masculine disgusting teenage boy revenge of the nerds/Superbad/Scott pilgrim movie thing growing up. Yeah it’s fun and quirky, but gross and kinda just a representation of what I was running from a lot of the time- the masculine box. It is so refreshing to see women portrayed as femcel horny assholes who sometimes don’t deserve redemption. Let girls be human and real in media!! The high school tropes are also incredible. It’s so comic exaggeration of gender stereotypes and high school archetypes that felt exactly what it’s like to be in high school in the past century. This is genuinely the funniest high school comedy’s I have ever seen in my life. So many movies tried to do what this did and failed. SO MANY.  The dark and meaningful moments are also there, and have integrity without taking away from the comedy. Without spiking anything, moments of this movie reminded me of his self absorbed everyone is in high school, and how I felt looked over and forgotten because of how much I was going through at home. The performances are very good, everyone is so sexy. I do wish I understood the importance of the bond between the main characters were though. Also is vape girl from euphoria in this?  Anyways. I will be rewatching this forever and I will absolutely show my kids this when they’re too young just like my parents did with Superbad for me. They need Rachel sennot to ruin their childhood instead of Jonah hill
