Carry On Behind

“It is time for knocking it off!” “FOR WHAT 😧” Watched on ITV’s new 24/7 Carry On channel. Strangely, this was no worse than when I was completely drunk.  (I wanted to include a review I wrote after my last viewing that I never posted: ‘Elke Sommer’s character is boringly all linguistic mishaps and their inevitable erotic innuendos, to the point where her character is simultaneously whoring herself out for the male cast (as all the ladies of Carry On seem to do…) and Kenneth Williams’s obviously gay professor, and a productive ditz repelling men. She has no personality beyond ‘I’m a woman and sex’ which is truly the screenwriters fault because at least Barbara Windsor’s characters had decorum and moral tact, and I have a bone to pick with them for a few other particular scenes, too.
