Listened to the audio commentary with Patrick Brice, chris donlon and mark Duplass, here are some fun facts about the behind the scenes: The car Aaron drives in the beginning is Patrick Brice’s grandmother’s car, and mark duplass was in the back The cabin in the film was mark duplass’ holiday home There’s a “goof” on IMDb mentioning mark duplass’ “fluctuating weight” The film is a mixture of shoots and reshoots from the following year Patrick brice’s feet are on a foot fetish website somewhere Mark and Patrick had no idea about the heart rock, and learned about it from a waitress at billy bear’s diner  Josef initially said “you’re not gonna fucking believe this” but it was changed to “you’re never gonna believe this” because they liked the idea of Josef being clean Aaron’s piss story is a true story from Patrick brice’s childhood The famous balcony shot (which is prolly the background of this review) was purely accidental A Sundance water bottle is seen throughout the film due to a sponsorship, as well as josef’s Nikes and tight trousers Mark and Patrick viewed Josef’s rape story as an interval from seeing their faces Angela is played by mark duplass’ wife, and was recorded on the phone and ADR when Aaron is talking to Josef on the balcony, A knife has gone missing on the wall Aaron’s apartment was patrick brice’s actual apartment Aaron’s gym T shirt features the gym owned by Chris donlon’s mum Josef wanted Aaron to feel the thrill of killing by stabbing the wolf plush The “J+A” heart locket was made by mark duplass himself The scene where Josef stalks Aaron was entirely on film with practically no editing Josef’s last video is the only time he isn’t wearing black, but pink instead.
