Christopher Robin
I may toss around the word 'masterpiece' like a lunatic pancake chef on a runaway pogo stick, but I'll be DAMNED if there's a better word to describe this film.
Some of the characters voices can take a little getting used to but Jim Cummings is at his absolute peak as Pooh (and Tigger, too!) delivering pitch perfect and often heartbreaking responses to Ewan's (also in his best role) Robin all backed up by an absolutely incredible "live action" Pooh design. Those inanimate black-circle eyes somehow hold so much character and stare directly in to my soul.
Is the story a bit cheesy? Definitely, but it's done in such a masterful way and is a deeply upsetting tale of growing up and losing touch with the things and people that shaped you growing up.
No notes. The last great film Disney ever put out. Fucking spectacular.
