Civil Warcorrin9.1· December 8, 2024Followthis is so fucking awesome why did no one tell me to watch this before what the fucckk all the haters are just probably stupid. ok I get how it could come across as hollow because it is clearly like woke anti war film but still so centrist and lowkey kinda unrealistic, and all this about militia overreach and authoritarianism but through the lens of just normal citizens while also trying to fit in so much stuff on political allegory, psychological breakdown, and resistance and revolution kinda doing too much so I understand why they hate I guess. zero backstory provided, id guess the "civil war" is due to fragmentation caused by ideological polarisation and also class conflict, and systemic inequality which is typically shown through the media! ironic! and there also was not really a critique on authoritarianism cause they were all buddy buddy with the military but they did also shoot the potus but then in that respect, it was just completely anti revolutionary because of its anti war nature but civil war is only gonna be caused by revolution by the people, especially in this context, so the film is not actually woke?? idk? it is clearly intentionally vague on its views especially after jan 6 capitol attack (republican!!)
