Going into this blind from poster curiosity alone I went into this film not knowing what to expect from the introduction alone giving homage to early silent films and the expressionism show in every frame every set felt so whimsical and other worldly I was so bought in what followed was a sequence of stories(dreams) all following different genres and time periods from cinema and Chinese history all blended in a beautiful shot anthology even tho they were dreams it all felt pretty grounded and was a beautiful love letter to movies as a whole how they are more than just something to put on it can be a escape into a new world it can be a new perspective and done with so much passion that it can completely be stuck in your mind for years I loved every second of it I can’t wait to rewatch it I would always pick being a corpse with dreams than to live forever and not
