Andor
i watched it with a feeling close to transcendence—like how people around a fire send their heartbeats into the world with body percussion. it made me feel, once again, how naive the world used to be, how a different version of the human being once existed. like the feeling a child has when they first discover what a map is and realize the world isn’t just their home. i never thought i’d get this transfixed. it didn’t just show me where i belong—it taught me, with my head against the borderstone, what species i belong to. or maybe it didn’t strike me at all. maybe i offered myself to it.
