this hits hard bro. bond looks at silva as a mirror, hurt and abandoned, but rooted in betrayal. bond’s grief is everywhere, his loss of identity, loss of relevance, and loss of family. deakens is such a underrated cinematographer by the way, cold blues, shadows, every frame feels intentional. its all about survival, not winning. it accepts scars instead of hiding them. still violent in style. first ever 007 movie ive ever watched when i was a kid, pretty sure why im into spy stuff, but yeah man.
