Transformers One

“Nothing can stop us if we stand together. Together as one.”  A surprisingly socialist message with underpinnings of revolution and class solidarity, something I did not expect from a major studio despite these same messages being in the original comics. A half star docked off due to the message then being lost as the film progresses in the second half (and also due to The Great Divorce and its reasonings not being fully fleshed out, but again what does one expect from a kids movie). I implore everyone to read the original IDW comics and see that Transformers is actually about class struggle, solidarity and revolution as well as philosophical exploration of morality and being + what happens when two opposing methods of change collide. Reinforced my childhood love for Transformers (this was my third time watching it and Sheher’s eleventh time and it never gets old).
