Hot Fuzz

“How could this be for the greater good?” “The Greater Good.”  “Shut it!” In my very humble opinion, this is one of the pinnacles of comedy, regardless of time or format. Every joke, major or subtle, hits, with both the physical and verbal aspects of it at the very top caliber. It’s witty with clever jokes and scenarios that always get tied up in the end with countless callbacks, and jokes that never stale. So many memorable and quotable moments, with possibly the best back-and-forth moments you can see in not just comedy films, but film in general. It also works as many more genres, such as action, a bit of thriller and a bit of horror. And of course, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost continuing to be some of the funniest fuckers on the planet when they’re paired together, never gets old. Its brilliance is what it is. I don’t know if it can get better than this. Very few come close.
