(Rating is only for the “Love Conquers All” cut) Watched the 90 minute cut-down studio version and it’s literally such a travesty it’s a perfect example of why we should never let studio execs interfere with movies. Aside from completely misunderstanding the “love story” and eliminating the satire it also messes with the pacing of the story so badly it made me hate what is one of my favorite movies of all time. Really did make me appreciate Gilliam’s Final Cut more though.
