Leviticus
This movie has one of the nastiest horror concepts of the decade, and it earns every bit of it.
The creature isn't just chasing bodies—it's feeding on shame, repression, and the lies people tell themselves to survive. Chiarella never lets the allegory swallow the characters, which is exactly why it works. A couple of symbolic beats could've trusted the audience a little more instead of underlining themselves, but that's a tiny complaint in a film this confident. Beautiful, heartbreaking, scary as hell, and somehow still deeply romantic. That's a hard fucking balancing act, and Leviticus pulls it off.
