Prisoners

10 / 10 “Every day she's wondering why I'm not there! Not you, but me!” My favorite crime thriller of all time. Prisoners is just perfect. I have seen this movie so many times and always give it the same score. This was my first Villeneuve film I experienced and it’s what got me into watching other movies like it and looking up his filmography. Jackman gives the best performance of his career and Gyllenhaal counters him so well. Paul Dano also blew me away. I can finally say this is my favorite Denis film. This story is just so deep, and while you think you know where the story is heading, you are then sent down another path, that twists, winds and breaks off leaving you wondering where the finale will take you.  The ending is one of my favorite endings and cliffhangers I’ve ever seen.I absolutely love this movie. Perfect movie.
