9.5 / 10 “I didn't know her. I didn't know my daughter.” With the wife sick today I’ve been watching some movies. After the complete trash that was War of the Worlds, I wanted to revisit the first film of its kind that adopted this unique style that follows a computer screen like recording through the whole movie. I remember watching Searching when it first came out in 2018 and loving how brilliant and cool this concept was, as I had never seen anything like it before. And for a story like this, it works so perfectly. Not only is the concept creative, but the story, the acting and the emotion is just excellent. I still love this movie so much and hope we get more like it. (But not like you, War of the Worlds).
