9.5 / 10 “I don't understand at all. Why just her classroom? Why only hers!” #4 of 2025 Zach. Fucking. Cregger. Barbarian and now Weapons. Two for two. The marketing for this movie did a damn good job at hiding the plot and you have no idea what is going on for like the first hour. It’s disturbing and creepy as hell. The antagonist is top tier and one of the best written in the last decade or so. Had my skin CRAWLING. Such an original and creative concept with one scene in particular that had our entire theater gasp and had me yell out, “OH SHIT!”. A genuinely original horror movie that is shot well, excellent acting, comedic moments, and expertly written. I loved it. Top 3 favorite movies of the year and top 5 favorite horror movies from the last 15 years.
