Avengers: Infinity War

‘Why is Gamora’ & ‘I don’t want to go’ & ‘I hope they remember you’ - I think this is the best superhero movie oat. One of the best villains oat, ridiculous cast, funny with great action and emotional moments. Great dialogue with many iconic lines. The villain winning which is rare and that feeling of loss and hopelessness built on when seeing all these characters just disappear. Amazing score and good CGI as well besides the odd shot and for a 2h30 movie it absolutely flies by, the pacing is genuinely perfect. Amazing beginning with the Asgard distress call and the lines from Maw and Thanos also showing how powerful he is killing two Gods and making another one look powerless and battering the Hulk. Within the first five minutes he’s already destroyed the two stronger Avengers. More just peak moments in this is Dr Strange revealing there’s only one way of beating Thanos, Thor arriving in Wakanda, Dr Strange vs Thanos, Iron Man vs Thanos, Wanda killing Vision and Thanos just rewinding time, the snap. I could go on and on about the many many great moments in this. It feels like every character performs at their best. It takes the best parts about each character from their movies and puts it into this one. So many new character interactions that are fresh, funny and intriguing. Like for one example seeing Captain America, Rocket, Groot, Bucky and Thor all fighting together is just so good. Such a good buildup leading up to Infinity War and it exceeds. No matter how many times I watch it, it’s still just as good.
