girlhood is a form of body horror. bloody and ever changing. you feel like you're going to kill yourself or someone else. beautiful and feral. nothing bloodier than a period. nothing more monstrous and angry than a girl going through puberty. i too would kill someone for my sister. love how everything is shot. solid leads with a realistic and heartbreaking dynamic. it's hard watching your sister turn into a completely different person. or thing, i guess. but sibling dynamics in horror will always go crazy style. sam miller is the blueprint, if you even care. probably the best werewolf movie ever no contest. so deeply tragic too. but thank GOD not a female werewolf that just gets fangs and is sexy. more monstrous female werewolves i BEG of you. more gross and fucked up female werewolves i'm on my hands and knees.
