I think I’ve genuinely just watched the best film ever made. I’m stunned I’ve not watched the full credits roll of a film since Tyranosaur and that is the best live action British film ever made. This film is grim not because of the way the story is shown, not because it shows us in detail the gruesome Crimes committed by these monsters but because it is all real. This is what a docudrama should be, a way of sending awareness towards horrible horrible events and people. I’ve never watched a film from minute one and been entertained, shocked, sad and even laughing before and this provided that. This film is a gut punch on showing how society is fucked. People are evil and this film really shows that. This film explores corruption in the Korean police, courts and schools.  Peadophilia is the main focus and unfortunately the film is graphic helping to reinforce how horrid the men who in real life still walk free and are uncharged. But what this film did was spark interest in the case and changed Korean law for the better helping to convict the monsters. But what else makes this film superb. The acting from all the cast is amazing especially the child actors who must’ve been through a lot of emotions and stress to create this film and I commend them. The acting they produce for people of such a young age is just monumental.  The adult cast are amazing too all performances shown helpTo show the good and evil in people and the evil especially  The cinematography is amazing helping to reinforce that even with films of this much horror can be beautiful with the art of camerawork. The sound design and editing also need to be commended. In my opinion the court scenes are the best scenes I’ve ever seen. The way Dong-Hyuk makes us feel they have finally won and shuts it out completely is harrowing but so masterfully done. This is the best film I think I’ve ever watched. Better than shawshank, better than the wrong trousers, better than tyranosaur. There is no beating this it is the pinnacle of fiction and needs to be watched all over the world. The most horrifying masterpiece I’ve ever watched this isn’t your normal 10/10 it is THE 10/10
