Queer
Finally got around to rewatching this movie. However, I hated the fact that I did rewatch it on the plane where there were many censored or deleted scenes to make it “appropriate” I presume, but that’s besides the point.
Luca Guadagnino tells a beautiful story about obsession, whether it’s through relationships and even drug abuse. A very well told story about being queer and falling in love with someone who can’t give you what your heart desires. Daniel Craig gives a fantastic performance which personally deserves a lot more recognition in this truly, underrated masterpiece. Additionally, Guadagnino does a tremendous job when it comes to creating the setting, with its beautiful cinematography and atmosphere, which enhances the scene at hand.
A wonderful film, with exceptional performances and cinematography. One could argue that this is Luca Guadagnino’s best work.
