Beef is hands down the best thing A24 has put out since Uncut Gems. From start to finish, this show completely hooked me. The writing is phenomenal and unpredictable in a way that keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time. What really makes this series stand out, though, is its characters. Every single person in this show feels real and layered, and somehow still incredibly likable, even when they’re making terrible decisions. You truly get to know these characters on a deeper level, and that emotional connection just makes everything hit harder as the story spirals. The tension never lets up. Each episode builds perfectly off the last, escalating in ways that I never knew what was gonna happen next. It’s rare to find a show that balances dark humor, drama, and raw emotion this well, but Beef absolutely nails it. I love this show so much. Even though it’s an anthology series, I’m already counting down the days until season 2. If it’s anything like this first season, we’re in for something special.
