really fantastic all around show. plot is exciting and continues to build tension throughout (the kinda thing you can only do sustainably with a finite limited series) which I love. charecters are complex in the best way. you kinda hate them, kinda understand them, kinda love them. show is well balanced with action, dialogue, artsyness, commentary on people/soceity/wealth, and humor. i would have given it a 9.5 or something, but there were aspects that didn’t fully connect for me (e.g. the ending). that said this is an easy reccomend, and i will be looking forward to season 2 (new charecter and story but i think that’s a great formula just look at white lotus). also i wanted half of the show like 9 months ago, and the other half today, so no idea how that affected my experience.

hit unexpectedly hard, uncut gems feeling in tv show form with deeper character development. the show is incredibly humanizing - everyone just wants connection, purpose, and our own definitions of success. @selinah put it great there are no likeable characters, and yet i was rooting for each of them fervently. cried at the scene when they’re laying in the dirt talking, a beautiful way to make that point. every time that i think about how quickly he eats that cheeseburger i get uncomfortable in my chest.

i remember really liking this, but now forget most of the plot
