Kick-Ass
“what’s wrong with you? you’d rather die for some piece of shit you don’t even know?”
“the three assholes laying into one guy while everybody else watches? and u wanna know what's wrong with me? yea, id rather die”
he might not be the smartest, strongest, or fastest guy to exist but there’s one thing that overpowers all those traits for me which is heart
not any kind of a heart, a heart that is charitable and sacrificial, the kind of heart that chases intrinsic needs because by all means he could have profited off of his accomplishments but he chose not too, instead he was willing to die for anything as long as it meant it could do good
this is no ordinary superhero movie, it’s a terribly aged comedy that i still hold onto! although it has its fair trade of cringe and hard watch moments that i don’t agree with.. the message and execution itself holds deep in my heart, i’ve always dreamed about being a superhero and this is how i’d imagine for it to go since im obviously no superman, but just like some heroes shown with kickass you don’t need powers to prove your worth
you can do anything you want it just takes dedication and a whole lot of love for it, and of course it’s going to be hard but that’s the test to see how badly you really want it. you might say things don’t have to be hard, but when you truly want something, would you not be willing to endure anything? i’d rather what i want be hard, because when i finally achieve it, i’ll know that every struggle, every sacrifice, and every moment i wanted to give up was worth it, and that’s what will make me feel complete and happy with myself
