The Matrix

One of my all time nostalgia movies for me, my dad would watch this all the time and it was the only rated R movie he would allow me to watch when I was super young. He would always use his stationary bicycle to practice for his races and just turn this on. Obviously the best part of this movie is the action for me, it’s so fucking good. The pairing with the soundtrack, chefs kiss. The atmosphere with the green and blue filters on the cameras were great. The writing was also great, it’s kind of a thinker movie which is crazy because it could’ve been a dumb action flick. It’s one of those films you could watch over and over 1,000 times and never feel bored of it. I love this film though the flaws are there, mostly around the weapons, I hate hipfiring, none of the the guns have any sort of recoil and there was at one point Neo was shooting a weapon that shot 9mm and 5.56 shells were falling to the ground, it’s a small error but a pet peeve of mine. I’ll still rewatch.
