Beautiful Boy
long review this time
this movie is genuinely one of the most pure and devastating movies ive ever watched - not because of it trending, or being "overhyped" but because of the raw acting and story line. its such an amazing and realistic portrayal of addiction and how it can affect so many aspects of life, not just of the individual but everyone they encounter. never have i been so glad that there wasnt a happy ending to this, im sick of the romanticisation of illness in movies and this is what i needed.
i love timothee chalamet, his acting is amazing idc what anyone says. from seeing him for the first time in little women as laurie and giving society "its no use jo" to this performance. probably one of my favourite roles hes ever played.
STEVE CARELL! the diversity of his acting is insane and he plays this role so well. its such a real version of how family members cope with addiction and how sacrifices and boundaries are actually set.
overall horrible horrible movie and it is so devastating, 5/5 will watch forever
