Clue

✅ 1st Watch | Top 100 | 1985 Ranked More recent review of Clue: Here What a movie! I always loved the board game so I’ve always wanted to see the movie. Based on the nature of the game, I was shocked how they could adapt it into a film without it being completely chaotic and segmented. Well, it was chaotic, but surprisingly it had a touch of unity which connected the story together. I can mainly contribute this unity to the screenplay, which is phenomenal. Without the screenplay, the story would’ve been a mess. When they decide to pull out the “_______ did it in the ______ with the ________”, the screenplay was literally perfect and it perfectly encapsulated the feeling of playing the board game. I loved it when they were explaining everything that happened by running to the locations. It was awesome. In addition to the screenplay, the acting is what makes Clue so memorable. Tim Curry is exemplary in Clue and it was always a joy to watch him on screen. Furthermore, the side characters perfectly complimented Tim Curry’s performance. If you haven’t played the board game. Play it. Then you can fully appreciate the beauty of Clue.
