Joker

🔥 1st Watch | Top 100 I know that Joker was heavily inspired by Taxi Driver and Scorsese’s work, but it’s ironic how Joker is better than all of his work (in my opinion). First of all, Phoenix’s acting was perfect and definitely Oscar-worthy and Hildur’s score was perfect and definitely Oscar-worthy. This film created a dark atmosphere which sucked me into the story. However, what Joker accomplishes the most is showing the power of perspective and shows how behind ever supervillain’s reign is a sad and tragic backstory which shapes their life. Comic-book movies can be art, and this movie is the perfect example on how that can be executed.
