Another Round
There’s just something about this movie. Even though it’s set in a nice, simple suburban town in Denmark, with a relatively non complex, realistic plot, with quite common yet dark and bleak real world issues dealt with. It manages to feel almost magical. The movie itself feels like the process of alcoholism. It starts off dull and normal, then as the plot progresses things become more euphoric, entertaining and absurd until it all comes crashing down. As we navigate through the somber, sober later half of the movie things begin to pick up slightly as the alcohol does and by the end of the movie everybody’s drinking again and the euphoria has sprung back into action as the final scene ends. Everything looks up. The comedown is left unseen
