Magnolia
There are billions of people in the world and every single person experiences their day differently, every single person is unique.
Magnolia is such a special film, it starts with a super high peak which makes you think to yourself that it can only get worse from there, except.. it doesn’t, it’s actually quite the opposite it’s basically a gift that doesn’t stop giving.
Concept wise, I haven’t seen anything like it and I don’t think that I ever will, Paul Thomas Anderson’s story telling is truly on another level here.
The pacing was probably the best I’ve ever seen, I wasn’t bored for a second and the time flew by, the acting is also extraordinary every actor is giving their absolute best performance and my personal favorite performance is Philip Seymour Hoffman’s performance, absolutely brilliant.
The way this film was shot was just so mesmerising to watch and you could physically feel the tension building and the stress along with the characters along with the hypnotic editing.
Magnolia is one of those films that I feel like I can talk about for hours but technically I actually don’t have anything to say about it due to the fact that I’m simply speechless.
It’s been a while since a film has got me hooked quite like magnolia did, kinda felt like a breath of fresh air.
Can easily be my favorite on a rewatch.
Masterpiece.
