Inception
Wowza really good movie. Probably one of the best movies visually I've seen in terms of creativity and then actually executing it so well.
The contrast of having a sci fi main plot like the whole inception mission with an intertwining grounded, personal and emotional plot of Mal is so good and both are woven into each other very well. The plot is overall mostly consistently great, keeps you hooked the whole time.
In terms of acting ofcourse Leo gave a great performance but definitely not even close to some other things I've seen from him(OUATIH, Django) but still good obviously. Not really any complaints from anyone acting wise really. But the best performance of the film for me was definitely Cilian Murphy, i felt he definitely gave an amazing performance plus i loved his character, the movie got even better once he came in.
Though talking about that, before Fischer comes into the movie properly, while still good ofcourse it did feel a little random and out of place, the whole sequence of Dom going to that place to recruit Eames and then getting chased by a bunch of Cobol guys, then Saito coming in and saving, then they go recruit Yusuf, idk that sequence felt out of place from the movie.
One other complaint I have, my biggest one, is that there's too much action in a movie that didn't really need it imo. Like in the last mission Eames just stops doing like any character or plot work and just kinda becomes a super soldier killing people nonstop, like I'm not kidding his fight scene lasted for like 20 mins, they got some cool explosion shots in and whatever but I wish he has actually done more with the plot or his character instead of just random ass shooting with him killing like 200 people by himself.
Other then that overall no complaints, amazing movie. Great acting from everyone, the crew of characters was good, seeing the personal emotional struggle of Dom with Mal is one of if not the best part of the movie, all the explanations and science behind the dream stuff is very well explained, the cgi is absolute peak, Hans Zimmer gives a banger soundtrack obviously, and a genuinely amazing, literal peak ending. (Though i definitely believe Dom came back into the real world)
