The Dark Knight
Holy peak movie bro. I had watched this like 4 years ago and didn't like it too much but yea I was wrong this shit absolute peak.
Obvious best thing is Heath Ledger with all time performance as Joker, genuinely every scene Joker is in he just makes it 100x better. One of the best villains oat so well written also, the way he doesn't even have any powers or anything but his pure physcotic mind and insanity makes him do stuff that nobody else could or would do is just so good. He literally slowly breaks down on humanity and values of all the characters.
Harvey Dent is another absolutely peak character this movie. His transformation from the white knight, noble leader Harvey Dent to two faced is so good. Watching him slowly lose sanity with everything joker put him through and then the final straw being what happened with Rachel. Then Joker in the hospital just fully tipping him over to the bad side as he goes completely rogue. He was the representation of hope, a symbol much better then the batman, as they said he was supposed to be the best of them, and joker transformed the “best of them” into an absolute monster who gambles the life of a 7 year old kid on a coin toss.
Rachel's new actor was a downgrade from last time which is kinda a bummer bcs i actually did like Rachel a lot in Begins but whatever.
Another amazing character is Gordon, just overall great, consistent character and his fake out death plan and all was very well done. The acting form him in the last scene where Harvey had his family was very good, really showing him struggling between like staying calm and desperation.
Now, batman himself was just good. I don't particularly love this universe Batman, there's not anything bad about him, but comparing to other two new gen live action batman's, he's just like.. basic. There's literally no special thing about him. He's just good overall.
Christian Bale's Bruce Wayne on the other hand is much better, the second best Bruce Wayne(behind Pattinson). It's like complete opposite approach of what they did with Pattinson's Wayne, who was a complete outcast, quiet, honestly weirdo. Now that's the type of Wayne i prefer bcs imo if you're literally Batman you'll become like that irl, but i also love this Wayne who is effortlessly cool and collected.
Other characters like Fox, Ramirez, etc were also good.
Overall, the story was insanely well put together with one of the best performances oat from Heath Ledger who is easily the best part of the film. Top 5 superhero movies for sure.
