Man this shit so peak i cried 3 times. First was the “Thanks for the adventure, now go have a new one, love, Ellie”. This one genuinely broke me the most, like idts I've ever cried at a movie scene more then this. Then when the house flew away i cried a bit And then the “I bestow to you the highest honor I can give, the Ellie badge” like bro it's so cute and sweet but also so extremely sad at the same time☹️☹️☹️ The opening 15 minutes of the movie is genuinely a masterclass. Basically no words in the whole 15 minutes, and somehow those 15 minutes makes you care more about the characters then literal tv shows with multiple seasons can make you care about characters. Knew Ellie for like 10 minutes and felt genuine pain in my heart when she died The middle point is the lowest sorta point of the movie but it's still fun The last 20 minutes or so(the whole blimp sequence) is so so so good. People say the first 15 mins carries and yea it's the best but i think it led to people underrating the last 20 mins cause this was peak too. The whole dug thing was so funny, while Carl accepting Ellie would've wanted this and letting go of the house for his new family is so fire. Plus that score is soooo fucking peak and just makes the movie even better 4.25
