I recently set a goal for myself this year to watch as many movies as possible. I want to simply explore everything that cinema has to offer. I have found myself seeking a balance between over-the-top genre films that sparked my interest in the medium, and more quiet arthouse films that have become my recent obsession. While this has been a lot of fun, it can sometimes feel unnatural to switch between these different moods and seeking that balance can be a challenge. Mandy seems to hit that cinematic sweet spot that I am always looking for.
