Sinners

This is one of those movies that feels like a once in a lifetime kind of experience. Movie magic on full display. Not just an incredible horror film that understands the power of genre cinema, but a perfect blockbuster that feels like a rally cry for original voices to be heard. Uses the film format to its fullest potential, already putting it in conversation with some of the all-time greatest films, and also pushing IMAX film to its full potential. That scene halfway through felt so genuinely magical that I just needed to experience it again. This is what the movies are all about.
