Perfect Days
Making my way through my watchlist, in order of highest average rating. Film #17 Perfect Days Average Rating: 4.3
The whole time I was thinking it would really be a missed opportunity if they didn’t use Perfect Day by Lou Reed in this and when that happened I instantly knew this is a 5 star film. The soundtrack was absolutely perfect and full of music I love, every song was very well used to fit the tone of the scene it was used in perfectly. Easily one of the more beautiful films ever made, after watching Paris, Texas and this, I’m convinced Wim Wenders is a genius. Kōji Yakusho was simply phenomenal in this role. Also, the ending was just the best way they could’ve possibly ended this.
