Parasite
100/100 💵 🇰🇷
Parasite is truly one of the best things I've ever watched. The script is one of the most clever things brought to the screen. It is creative, mature, and feels realistic. Bong Joon-ho also has a brilliant direction. He told this story so amazingly with themes of greed, envy, and revenge being ever so prominent in this picture. Acting-wise, this movie doesn't miss a beat. The chemistry, drama, and emotion are all realized in some of the best on-screen performances I've witnessed. As a result, Parasite is a wonderfully written and directed film.
Visually, Parasite is mind-blowing. Every shot is amazing. The framing highlights relationships well, the camera movements encapsulate you with suspense, and the lighting sets a distinct mood for every scene. The production design is exhilarating. The standout example is the Parks house because it captures the spacious and luxurious essence of the location. The cuts are nice and add a suspenseful yet eventful flow to this film. Consequently, Parasite wouldn't be the same without the brilliant technical work.
