Anoraizzy9.7· April 15, 2025Follow"Jealousy is a disease, remember that, diamond" ʚɞ💗It is the fourth time I watch this movie and I feel the need to explain why it is my favorite. A film that represents finding freedom, being able to fly free like a butterfly and be happy to find a person who you think is the right one. I usually feel a deep admiration for movies in which I identify or achieve more than empathizing with the characters, Anora represents beauty but also the vulnerability and duality of love, a love that is not always true. The first part feels like a total fairy tale and then you can do nothing but feel bad for her, to discover that all the love she talked about was not real and that her husband was just a spoiled child whom she did not really know, through the dynamism of the story continues to hook you, until you reach the part that is most important to me: Her relationship with Igor, the only one in the whole movie who was genuinely interested and worried about her, even though he knew how to fight he decided not to do it with her, their relationship was developing as the divorce of Vanya and Anora drew near "I like Anora" "I like Anora more than Ani" Igor liked who Anora was, he knew her as a person and not as something sexual or material, he liked the real Anora. When she realized this, she felt confused, and not knowing how to thank him, she decides to show her appreciation in the only way she knows, sexual, and ends up with her crying and sobbing in Igor's arms, letting out all her pain and understanding that her concept of love is completely fucked. Nothing very similar to this has happened to me, but I definitely can say that I have felt the exact same horrible and degrading way as her. I love this movie.CommentsSign in to react and join the conversation.Sign inGet the appSee all izzy's reviews for Anora (3)First watch9.7December 28, 2024Rewatch 19.7March 7, 2025Rewatch 29.7April 15, 2025
