Penny lane should’ve set them all on fire…  No, but it’s a typical story of teen exploitation and adolescence… really heavily leaning into the exploitation of minors deemed “groupies”, so that’s surprising and good to see! It was a cool little period piece! The “guy finally tells the girl he likes off and uses her being exploited against her, thus snapping her out of it” trope has been played out for me, it just REEKS of Reddit incel “and everyone clapped”… they were both teenagers though, at the end of the day. The real “villain” is the band, but even they’re not 100% cut n dry bc they’re humans. I love human movies lol
