Dune
My gf surprised me saturday by coming by my house with some chick fil a and we watched dune in preparation for our dune 2 date that night, what an amazing woman.
it’s been some time since i’ve seen dune and i will say that without the big screen it does have a little less oomph that i think it kinda needs considering this movie just feels incomplete. i remember thinking that when i walked out of the theatre the first time but i was also stun locked from the magnitude of the movie going experience.
paul is kind of boring here, and doesn’t have much to him yet and it’s really hard to root for him in this, granted i understand that we’re not supposed to root for him in the end but in this one i don’t think that’s clear at all. this is like tatooine a akin vs dune 2 being like right before anakin 0rder 86 mode lol.
the movie is beautiful, like the set dec people need promotions heavy cause they did some crazy lifting in this.
at the end of the day, dune does it’s job because when it’s done you just want to know more about this universe.
